Making the purchase
By effectively informing and persuading students to purchase training, there were gains to be made in the purchasing process. On one hand, the goal was to encourage each student to enroll in at least 2 training sessions, while also enticing them to purchase training books for better preparation.
We started offering discounts for multiple training purchases, which I clearly presented in the listing. Moreover, a crucial aspect was identifying clusters of subjects where students struggled. We capitalised on this by offering discounted training and gave suggestions for a related subject. For example, if a student added a math training to their cart, we suggested the chemistry training.
Before a student could enroll in a training, additional information was required. They used to ask the student after purchasing via email. This unfortunately often went wrong because students overlooked this and didn't expect to have to provide more information. To ensure that this information was provided, I incorporated it into the checkout flow. It was crucial that it could be filled in quickly and easily.
