Plan of Approach
I have numerous questions: What is needed for an app like this? What are our current insights on the existing app? To bring more structure, I have developed the following objectives we need to research..
- Identify app issues
- Set objectives and outcomes.
- List questions and assumptions.
- Create a solution plan.
- Gather user input.
- Analyze competitors.
- Map current features.
The plan of approach involves identifying the current problems with the app, which requires extensive maintenance due to numerous bugs and is very slow, with new features no longer designed with mobile as a priority.
We need to formulate our knowledge, objectives, and desired outcomes, and list all questions and assumptions we have. Additionally, we should create a plan to address these problems and develop a research plan to gather all input from users, including insights via CSM and feedback through app stores. It is also essential to analyze how competitors have developed and approached their apps, and map out the current app to understand what features we have, helping us decide what should and should not be included in our app.
Based on the current data from app store reviews and our Customer Feedback Triage, we can conclude the following.
The app's performance is slow: Our action point should be to consult with engineers to identify the cause.
Clicking on links doesn’t always redirect you within the app: In several use cases, this forces users to resort to the web app.
Opportunity for efficiency: The best match/search result should appear at the top when searching.
Alternative to in-app notifications: The app can be used for delivering updates and alerts.
